Proclaiming the Dream – A Virtual Gathering

Even though we can’t be together in person at Procter, we will still proclaim the dream of beloved community on September 25! We are thrilled to announce that the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Evangelism, Reconciliation and Creation Care, will still be with us on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to join us in reflecting on what God is dreaming for the church and for all of humanity.

We will gather Saturday at 11:30 a.m. on Zoom for time together – including music, a keynote by Stephanie, and space for story sharing and dreaming together. Stephanie will share from her new book, The Church Cracked Open, and explore with us how we can embody beloved community and find new hope even in the midst of change and disruption.

Register in advance for this meeting at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUrduGvpjMtHdIub5adTSYp2wonozWX3hJn. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. This conversation will also be recorded and posted online for later viewing.

A Concert for the Human Family

For another opportunity to hear and be in dialogue with Canon Spellers, be sure to attend the Concert for the Human Family at Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday, Sept. 26!

The Concert for the Human Family is an inspiring collaboration between award-winning musicians and church leaders who believe in the power of music and storytelling to foster Beloved Community. Experience genre-bending original music that bridges jazz, hip-hop, and bluegrass, performed by a multicultural team led by Nashville pianist and composer Kory Caudill. The concert is interwoven with sacred stories to launch conversation around reconciliation, healing, and justice in the communities we call home.

We’ve got a discount code for folks who were planning to attend the convocation and now want tickets to Sunday’s Concert for the Human Family.
