Parish History Project

The Parish History Project: An initiative of the Reparations Task Force

On January 20, 2022, Bishop Wayne Smith sent a letter calling on all Rectors, Vicars, Priests in charge, and Wardens in churches with no clergy leadership to learn or relearn their church’s role in the stories of the dispossessed, whom we have engaged or failed to engage at critical moments—and whom at times we have just failed. The hope is to create a short history of the diocese, with a “chapter” from every parish. See the letter. These histories should be submitted before the end of 2022.

Use this form to submit your story. The story should be about 1,200 words. Please address any questions about the stories to the Reparations Task Force; Dianne Ebbs and the Rev. Karl Stevens, co-chairs.
