Every three years, the national Episcopal Church Women award nine women throughout the Episcopal Church with its Distinguished Women award. There is one award for each of the nine provinces. The award is based on criteria which includes stewardship, sharing of outstanding talents as a Christian woman and generosity in sharing of time. This year, the Province V member bestowed the award is Katrina Mundy of St. Andrew’s, Cincinnati.
The awards are typically made at the triennial conventions, however, the 2022 National ECW Triennial Convention in Baltimore, Maryland was cancelled due to the pandemic. Each province was provided the award and encouraged to present it to their recipients during 2022. Members of the diocese’s chapter of ECW presented the award to Mundy in a ceremony at the diocesan convention on November 19.
