Financial Administrator, Trinity on Capitol Square, Columbus

Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square is seeking a person to serve as its Financial Administrator. The Financial Administrator performs the day-to-day financial duties of the Church, including Cash Receipts, AP, Payroll, Reconciliations, Payroll Taxes and Monthly and Annual Financial Reports. The Financial Administrator is assisted by the church Treasurer (a volunteer) and reports to the Rector or Interim Priest-in-Charge. This position is hourly and non-exempt since it entails an average of 10-12 hours a week. There will be some weeks during the fiscal year that require more time and other weeks during that time requiring less time. Compensation is competitive.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in accounting plus three or more years of work experience in a related field. Successful completion of accounting/bookkeeping courses and a minimum of one year of bookkeeping experience. Skilled with Quickbooks. Working knowledge of Realm or similar church management software a plus. Successful completion of criminal background check and Safe Church Training.
