“Hidden in Plain Sight”: Creating a Recovery Ready Diocese

March 30 & 31
Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center
22300 State Park Road 20, Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143

Bishop Smith invites all clergy to a Clergy Retreat on March 30 & 31. This retreat will be part of an ongoing four-phase project with different sectors of the diocese during 2022.

This retreat, “Hidden in Plain Sight,” will be led by the Rev. Jan M. Brown, MSc., Founder and Executive Director of SpirtWorks Foundation Center for the Soul https://www.spiritworksfoundation.org/.  Deacon Brown is a certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, a Recovery Coach Professional, and an international scholar on Addiction Studies. Brown and her team will help us learn how to create a recovery-ready diocese by creating a culture of mutual long-term health and wholeness between a bishop and the diocese, specifically in matters of substance use, addiction, and impairment.

Clergy attendance is expected. Please RSVP using the form below by February 14. Contact Bishop Smith directly if you are unable to attend.
