The Finance Committee will host our next administrative webinar, outlining the new audit procedures for all parishes, on Friday, April 23 at Noon. All treasurers, audit chairs or audit committee members and parish administrators should plan to be on the call to become familiar with the new process.

This past year, the diocesan Finance Committee revised the audit processes for parishes in the diocese, the first update in many years. What was produced is a more streamlined process for our smaller to mid-sized parishes. The audits are based upon box G of your Parochial Report. The process is more comprehensive than just finances, including areas that the parish should be doing in their day-to-day operations.

The new procedures have been tested in the parish setting and should reduce the amount of time it takes to complete the audit. And as a reminder, the Audit is due by September 1, 2021.
