Don’t let this opportunity escape!
The Trustees of the Diocese have extended the deadline for congregational Energy Efficiency Grants six months to June 30, 2023. Each church is eligible for up to $10,000 in grants to pay for energy conservation steps such as efficient lighting, insulation, and replacement windows. There are still 61 churches who have not taken action on the opportunity. Reducing your building’s energy use is a highly effective act to mitigate climate change. It also saves you money.
In this era of increasingly severe storms, heat waves, wildfires, and steep inflation, please take this opportunity offered by the Trustees. For details see https://episcopaliansinconnection.org/energy-efficiency-grant-application/. Many congregations already have an energy audit with specific recommendations. The Creation Care and Environmental Justice Task Force includes experienced engineers happy to help you evaluate your options.
Don’t wait too long! If you need some help deciding what project makes sense for you to do, please contact the Creation Care & Environmental Justice Task Force at firstname.lastname@example.org.
