Last call for online survey responses

read moreOn November 29, 2020, Bishop Thomas Breidenthal resigned as Bishop of Southern Ohio. When there is no diocesan bishop, the Standing Committee becomes the ecclesiastical authority, with oversight of the diocese. The Standing Committee is composed of three lay people and three clergy (deacons or priests). For the foreseeable future, the Standing Committee will oversee the diocese.
To assist in its work, the Standing Committee has invited the Right Reverend Ken Price to serve as Bishop in Southern Ohio, and they have delegated much of their authority and routine work to Bishop Price to carry out.
The Standing Committee is assessing our diocese and its readiness for transition work leading to the search and election of our next diocesan bishop. During this time, if you have questions or needs that related to the diocesan staff, please contact the relevant staff member or Canon John Johannsen, who is serving as chief of staff. If you have questions about worship or other matters that would ordinary go to the diocesan bishop, please direct those questions to Bishop Price. And, finally, if you wish to contact the Standing Committee, they may be reached at standingcommittee@diosohio.org.
This page will contain updates, so please check here regularly to learn about progress in our time of transition. You may also want to subscribe to diocesan email newsletters or follow the Diocese of Southern Ohio on Facebook or Twitter.
The members of the Standing Committee are Mr. Larry Hayes, president; the Rev. Philip DeVaul, vice president; Mr. James Allsop; the Rev. Dr. Ellen Cook; Mr. Barry Feist; and the Rev. Canon Scott Gunn.
